This Historic Southport home with preexisting rose gardens, landscape, and pool area was a great starting point for SDW. Kristina worked thoughtfully to keep many of the properties gardens and existing design, while at the same time streamline and shift some of the plantings to better work for the new owner’s lifestyle and aesthetic.
Working along with these existing features, as well as the architect’s intricate lattice, arbor, and woodworking, Kristina focused on removals to create a more minimalist landscape, that would highlight architecture of the house. She expanded the poolside yard, and designed white perennial gardens and various potted plantings for the pool area. With a house of this stature and interest less is more in this village landscape.
